| Abstract: | The picture that emerges from the study of 140 southern Indian metal artifacts reveals unexpected and even revolutionary findings, indicating ancient, continuing, and skilled bronze traditions that are of significance to global archaeometallurgy. Some exceptional findings include the earliest high-tin beta bronzes reported worldwide, slags from smelting bronze, and mirrors of high-tin delta bronze. |
