Abstract: | The influence of the rural in Bengaluru, and arguably most Indian cities, is thus multidimensional. The influence can emerge in locations that are within the geographical limits of the city as well as in villages some distance away. An effective urban policy must then be willing to address all issues that affect Indian cities even if they arise in remote rural areas |
