Abstract: There is however a growing interest in ways to disseminate archaeology outside the school classroom. Centres such as the Sharma Heritage Centre based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) Bangalore chapter, Karnataka, have been carrying out workshops, lectures and hands-on exercises, reaching out to various sections of society, including children.
